SIZE MATTERS
The first question we have when we get a part is, how large is it? Then, if it’s large enough, we ask, how good is it? Then, if it’s good enough, we ask, is it better than all the other parts? Only after all of these ego driven queries do we get down to the serious business of figuring out how we can look really good in this part.

GETTING ON WITH IT
Part of an actor’s reaching creative maturity is learning to not repeat a joke or a gag that already got a laugh. It is the eternally needy child in every actor who wants to go back and do it again and get that laugh(love) again. So lovingly point this child in the direction of the story being told, and teach him that it’s OK to always leave them laughing, it’s what they paid for.

SLOGANS
“The Dacians did not fear death and they were free.”
- Inscription on memorial commemoration the 20th anniversary of the Romanian Revolution, a revolution which is still shrouded in mystery, with most people convinced it was a purely theatrical event, with real guns, real blood, and a real seizure of power.

DIRECTORS AND ACTORS
In every director there lives a frightened actor - every director secretly wishes he had the courage to do what actors do, to join the ranks of the gladiators fighting for their lives in the arena, rather then watching from the shadows.

TABLE TURNING
The next time you meet with a young Hollywood agent who works at one of the many “boutique” agencies in town that develop new talent, and this person inquires about the state of your career, have enough manners to invite him to list his achievements first.

SADDEST PEOPLE IN HOLLYWOOD
The saddest people in Hollywood are those who ingratiate themselves not by stating their current or even former accomplishments (that’s sad enough), but the saddest people in Hollywood are those who ingratiate themselves by stating who they once knew or slept with.
