VACATION

I recently took a so-called vacation for two days. After eating everything there was to eat, and doing all of the vacation-like things there were to do, it was back to the same, old, tired solution from which there is no escape. Make something, create, or you will not find joy, satisfaction, or even peace.

Is it possible that all ideas live not so much in our bloated egos as they do in our humility? Personally, I have learned to say a little prayer before I sit down to partake in any creative act. There is no doubt my ego will claim all responsibility for anything of quality that comes out of me, but for now it’s humble pie all the way.

MISTAKES

All I can do is share with you my experience in the hope that as you make the same mistakes I’ve made, you take a little comfort in that the road DOES lead somewhere, so long as you stay on the path.
