GETTING ON WITH IT

Part of an actor’s reaching creative maturity is learning to not repeat a joke or a gag that already got a laugh. It is the eternally needy child in every actor who wants to go back and do it again and get that laugh(love) again. So lovingly point this child in the direction of the story being told, and teach him that it’s OK to always leave them laughing, it’s what they paid for.
